hi everyone in today's video I'm going

to be showing with you three ideas for

how you can get more out of the bubble

subscription in any language now this

could be useful for you if you're

already using babble and you're

wondering what else can you do with the

resources you have access to or maybe

you're thinking about purchasing babble

and you're wondering how can you get the

most out of your money what is the

potential for the program now if you're

in that second category and you're less

familiar with what babble actually is I

will put a link in the description to a

free trial slash demo type thing we can

have a little play around with the

program to see what it looks like and

but I am a very experienced user of

babble I learned French from absolute

beginner to be one intermediate level

only on Babel and I had a great

experience and I've made lots of videos

about it on my channel which are all in

a playlist that will also be linked in

the description so let's get on to our

first idea this is something that I

actually did which was to create little

posters of the grammar that I was

learning on battles why do I suggest

doing this well on Babel you have the

vocab review which tests you on the

vocab that you've learned in the lessons

but it's got less focus on grammar so

what I did was when Babel taught me new

items of grammar

I used to write it into Photoshop and

then put it all into different funds

that I liked into different colors and

then I would print it off and stick it

on my wall so why was this useful for me

well rather than just print off a

generic French poster from the internet

and stick it on my wall these things

were actually relevant to what I was

doing in my babble lessons so I was sure

that I understood everything on the

poster rather than just having a

meaningless thing written on the wall I

actually understood it and I knew that

it was trustworthy because I got it from

Babel one thing I also found was not

only was it useful to have a poster on

the wall that you sort of see throughout

the day to help you remind yourself of

the grammar you were doing but the

actual activity of making the poster

also helped me learn the grammar so when

I was writing it and you know arranging

it and bolding and underlying

and everything actually got quite

familiar with what it said and that

helped me learn the grammar idea too

that I have is for two vocab games and

now I know that it's one of the main

things that's really great about that

ball is the fact that you can do it

online on your computer or you can do it

on your phone but a lot of people

actually enjoy learning with paper and

being able to move things around Lane

everything out on the floor a lot of

people quite like that so there's no

reason why you can't print things off

and so I made two games one of them is

like a dominoes type game where

basically the the picture on the domino

matches to the word on another Domino

and then they all link together to make

a kind of snake or a square and

obviously this can be as big as you want

and you can use the vocab that you have

on your Babel and the way I made these

was just two screenshots the vocab when

it appeared either on the vocabulary

review or in the lessons and one thing

just to be aware of when you're doing

that is that the Babel material is

copyrighted so if you do make any of any

of these games you shouldn't sell them

and maybe you shouldn't use them in

classrooms just be a bit careful of that

but I do like that allows you to use the

same images because I found when I was

learning with Babel that I actually

started to associate the Babel pictures

with the words and so it's nice that you

could actually take that off the digital

and take it into the paper into other

things you can do so this game that I

have here is a sort of snap game and so

basically you have the picture and the

English and then you have another card

which is got the French on it you can

play this on your own by you know

putting them all flat and then turning

them over to try to find paths or you

could also play this with someone else

who is then in the language you can play

it like snap where you slip the cards in

half you turn them over onto a middle

pile and if their cards match you've got

a shout snap and whoever gets the most

pair's wins I'm sure you're quite

familiar with snap and you don't need me

to tell you that so that is the second

idea to make some games I'm sure you can

get very creative

with that so my third idea is to create

a recordings library now what do I mean

by this what I mean is that at CERN into

those it could be once a week once a

month you can decide I would suggest

that you record yourself speaking in

your target language now an easy way to

do this and would be that when you get

the alert on your phone or on your

calendar it's time to do the recording

and I would just go onto my babble vocab

review for that day and whatever 10

items it gave me you could just read

them into the voice recorder on your

phone or just read them onto a recorder

on your laptop and then build up a sort

of library of dated I would date them

dated and recordings on your computer

that you can go back and listen to

yourself to see whether you're improving

now this is particularly useful because

sometimes you can get to a sort of lack

of motivation you've got to a plateau

and you feel like you're not improving

you're not getting better if you can

actually go back and listen to yourself

have a little click on the file listen

to how you sounded a month ago you might

realize Oh actually I have improved I

just didn't realize that I've improved

and that could give you just that little

kick to continue another thing I think

could be beneficial about recording

yourself and at frequent intervals is if

you suddenly see a big spike of

improvement

it can help indicate to you what types

of methods work so if you decide at some

point you're gonna start listening to

the radio in your target language or the

TV and your target language and then

when you come to do you recording you

see a massive improvement and this could

indicate you oh well this is a good idea

to listen to the TV and the radio

because it's really helping you but if

you see no improvement after months and

months you might think I need to do a

bit more to work on my pronunciation and

I didn't actually do this I wish I had a

massive audio library of myself speaking

French over the years but I don't and

but I did do some recordings of myself

on them babble when I was a beginner and

I did a video reacting to them so if you

are interested in seeing me reacting to

my all

Recordings that will be linked in the

description and I hope you enjoyed this

video I hope it at least inspired you

with some creative ideas to get more out

of your babble subscription if you

enjoyed this video don't forget to give

me a like don't forget to comment and if

you are learning a language and you

might want to subscribe to my channel

because I do make a lot of videos about

learning French especially and but also

language learning in general so I'll see

you all soon bye bye
