how to make money with gengo hey guys in

this video i'm going to be showing you

what is gengo and how you can make money

with the gengo platform and the best

part is that this video is easy to

follow there is no geographical limit

you don't need any fancy equipment and

there are no sign up fees whatsoever so

let's get into it now the first thing is

what is gengo now gengo is a platform

where you can provide translations or

get translations but obviously we're

looking to make money so we are going to

be providing translations and some other

services like transcription proofreading

content summarization content

categorization copywriting or magento

translating youtube translating and

zendesk translating so these are the

services you can provide on gengo now

next up how do you make money with

translating on gengo well first off you

can go on to their translation or

content services and you can take a look

at their translation services and what

kind of money are people actually giving

out for this service and you can

actually see that so you can start

providing these translation services on

the gingo platform and they are offering

this with over 17 language contributions

21 000 translators worldwide so you're

going to be making 0.05 dollars per word

and receive translations within if you

are so depending on the kind of work

you're doing you might have to send

translations as quickly as possible so

it might be like a six hour deadline for

you to submit your translations now you

understand how the platform works you

are not familiar with it how do you

actually get started as a gengo

translator well first off you're just

going to go on to their gengo.com

translator section and over here you can

just join their translator team so

you're just going to click on become a

translator over here and then you can

sign up to become a translator now you

can create a customer account or a

translator account we're going to create

a translator account you're going to

enter your email and then you're going

to create a password and then you're

going to agree to their terms now you

can also sign up using facebook or

google if you want but i'm just going to

create a new gengo account over here and

once you have created your account

you're going to verify your email now

after you have gone through with your

email verification gingo is going to ask

you what kind of experience you already

have in this field so you're a new

translator and then you're going to add

your translation topic so let's do

family and then let's do

shopping and then you're going to add

your field of study so let's just do

arts and then you're going to click on

continue now after that there are a few

tests you need to pass on gengo because

you need to understand their test

instructions so just click on test

instructions over here to begin a test

so first off you need to understand what

is the basic test or how you're going to

pass it and anything that you might be

able to get confused within the test

once you are familiar you're just going

to go back to your account and start the

testing process so you're going to see

what language you want to translate into

your native language so we're just going

to go with english over here and then we

are going on to

let's just say british english and then

you're gonna click on notify me and then

you're gonna be able to find different

tests to test out this field so once you

actually find these two languages you're

just gonna register for a test and

you're to wait until your test arrives

now until then you need to understand

the gengo platform and with that

understanding you need to know what you

can expect as a gengo translator so if

you actually look at the different

milestones of a gengo translator you're

going to be able to see it's not gonna

start all with flowers and rainbows

you're gonna have to work really hard to

become a professional translator on the

gengo platform however becoming a

newcomer is not that hard and you can

see over here there are different

milestones set by the gengo platform

themselves so a pro translator is

someone that has passed their two-part

testing process and candidates may take

one of the two paths if you're a

beginner translator who passes the test

you may proceed to take the standard

written test and the second is that if

you're more experienced then you can

easily pass the empty test and then take

the protest without taking any kind of

basic tests in between now after that

you have a preferred translator so even

if you're a standard or a pro translator

there's something called a preferred

translator where you're going to get

more access to more collections and the

key is that this opens more doors for

you and more opportunity for you and

you're going to be able to enjoy

priority access to jobs after that you

have a wordsmith and that is the largest

milestone on gingo that you can have you

have to have translated over 500 000

units across all of their language pairs

to earn this title and this is a very

very unique title that is very difficult

to achieve but once you do it's like a

sure thing that you're gonna be getting

a constant flow of income on gengo now

how much can you really make as a gengo

translator well gengo translations begin

at 0.03 per word and they can go up to

0.08 per word so depending on your

average writing speed you might be able

to make a couple of hundred dollars on

this platform realistically you need to

understand that you're going to be

writing over

10 000 words to make 500 so for every 10

000 words you might be able to make 500

but that is not a sure shot as well so

depending on the per word price you

might even make slightly less but it's

going to be around that range now next

up how to make the most money working

for gengo now to make the most money

working for gengo make sure you pass

their test so you want to add as many

languages as you can as many languages

as you understand you're going to add

those over here and you can click on

show tests and try to do this as much as

possible so you can see over here that

you have any language that you're even

able to slightly understand you want to

apply for that and start taking the test

over here like this and you want to make

sure that you do this for as many as you

can because this will allow you to

become a translator with a wider variety

of experience and a better taste palette

for vocabulary as well now next up how

do you find work on gengo now once you

have passed your test you're just going

to go into the job section over here and

then you can easily start finding jobs

over here now it's not a difficult

process once you do finish your test but

until you find and get approved for

testing you're gonna have to wait to

find your actual jobs now you can even

make money by using online freelance

translation platform so you can get jobs

on gengo and then you can go to some

other platform so translator just don't

go to google translators but translator

and then you can find freelance

translators on other platforms that are

charging less so you can search for

translators on upwork and you can hire

people on this platform and then get

them to translate the work you get on

gengo and then get paid for that so that

is another way to make a lot of money on

gengo now next up does gengo charge any

fee now gengo has no fees with your

basic plan if you're taking your payouts

on payoneer then you're not gonna get

any kind of fee whatsoever but if you're

going for paypal then you're gonna have

to give a slight fee for each

transaction there's a 1.50 of your

reward for each payout with a minimum

cap of

1.50 and a maximum charge of 20 dollars

so if you request a payout for 50 you

will receive 48 dollars and then if

you're requesting prepare for 500 you're

going to be receiving 492

so that is something you need to keep in

mind if you're doing transactions with

paypal but if you are getting paid to be

a payoneer there are going to be no fees

on gengo's side and that is why i would

recommend

for this platform to actually use

pioneer instead of paypal so now the

last thing on everyone's mind might be

can you really use gengo as a part-time

job well gengo although it is a good

platform to make some money on the side

i would not suggest keeping this as a

constant source of income because income

can be very fluctuating on this platform

if you go on to their community and

their different platforms you're gonna

see people are saying that it is a good

platform to make money but the money can

sometimes not be stable and for a side

hustle it is all right but if you're

looking to do this full-time i would not

recommend it so that was it for today i

hope you guys found this video helpful

and you're now able to make money off of

gingo make sure to hit that like button

and subscribe to the youtube channel and

i will catch you guys in the next video
